Below
are my Jupiter CCD photographs, along with some from Terry Platt and David
Moore. Mine were taken with a 5.1" f/6 refractor operating at f/30-f/40,
and an MX5c CCD, during 1998

(SOUTH IS UP)
Jeff Medkeff drew this near
Sys2 longitude 340 in mid July, 1998
For
last year's detailed Jupiter drawing showing what can
be
ascertained in a large scope visually
These images above show the
"rift" in the south equatorial belt at around 240 degrees sys2, Don Parker's
image (center) is less noisy, Todd Gross' images are processed more heavily,
needed due to the smaller (5.1") aperture compared to Don's 16" SCT.
