TODD's FILM and VIDEO EFFORTS
1997 - today

The total solar eclipse from Aruba on Feb. 26, 1998 - 135mm telephoto lens
Notice Jupiter below, and Mercury to the upper left of the eclipsed sun!

I finally got out in late April 1997 to a dark site in southern N.H. to catch Hale-Bopp on it's final leg.
Notice at that time the dust tail was huge, over 20 degrees long,
while the gas tail pointing straight up and to the left was puny.

In this still, "snappied" off of video, the Moon was captured at about 300x,
including the "bridge" featured in the 1998 Sky and Telescope article.
